Today, Trevor gives us an overview of the optic cut system on the MR920. He walks us through the how and why of the design as well as how to install the optic you’ve selected.
We also discuss the changes made on the Holosun V2 optics. When installing the V2 Holosuns, you will want to use the screws that are recommended for the Vortex Viper in your manual. V1 Holosuns will still use the screws recommended for Holosun in the manual.
As always, let us know if you have any questions!
As far as optics’s. How do you feel about the Shield RMRc. What spacer and what screws would you recommend or would your recommend a different optic?
The Shield RMSc does fit, though there is no spacer for it. You can find the most up to date list of tested optics and the chart for spacers and screws here: https://shadowsystemscorp.com/mr920-how-to-mount-your-optic-optic-ready-slides-only/
Is there any chance that you can produce a spacer for the Holosun 507k x2? Or is there a modification of a present spacer that will work? I don’t really want to even break the seal on the optic until I know it will work.
We do not currently have plans to create a spacer for that optic.
So in the video he said to use the spacer but in the owners manual it has N/A he also stated that we use the vortex spacer so does that mean it it goes in the front
Mike, The manual you have was published before Holosun made this change–we try to keep them updated, but when other manufacturers make changes, we do our best to update here for folks who have older manuals. You can find the most up to date chart for screws and spacers here: MR920: How to Mount your Optic (Optic Ready Slides ONLY)
I recently purchased an xr920 and am very excited to give it a go. I noticed the 407k-x2 was not in the video or on the list of accepted optics. Will the Holosun 407k-x2 fit the Optic Cut, and if so what screws/spacer are recommended?
Yes, it will fit, but there is not a spacer for it. Use #1 screws.
