At Shadow Systems, we strive very hard to produce products that consistently beat expectations and ‘wow’ our customers.
Nothing matters more than customer satisfaction. Here are some examples of recent feedback we have received.
This is my third SSC handgun; also owning an MR920 and MR920L. There are marked improvements in the design here. The striker has been redesigned, a striker return assist spring has been added, and the firing system springs appear to be different. Those changes have resulted in a greatly improved trigger feel for the everyday end-user.
My use case is different. I want this to be a competition gun. All it took was a mirrored finish polishing of the trigger group’s metal contact points and a lighter weight firing pin safety spring to tune this sucker into my perfect trigger.
The ergonomics are equally as outstanding as the MR versions, which are the best in the game. The accuracy is excellent right out of the box.
The gun’s metal finish is simply outstanding. In the strangest turn of events, I was at a gravel range and a gust of wind blew my gun mat and empty DR920 off my shooting bench before I’d even had a chance to fire it for the first time. It landed in the gravel and bounced around a bit. I picked it up and, even after a 3′ drop into gravel, there wasn’t a single scratch on it.
My only complaint is that it’s difficult to find front/rear competition sight sets that are compatible with any SSC guns. I don’t run a red dot due vision astigmatism. I want a set of competition sights and there just aren’t any out there. I’m experimenting with some Ameriglo custom combos right now and having only a fair amount of luck. To be clear, there are plenty of excellent combat/duty sight sets out there which are compatible.
Yeah, that was wordy, but there’s a lot to say. Hopefully this review helps you with your decision no matter your use case. These are awesome guns and I haven’t looked back at Glock since discovering Shadow Systems.
I have a DR 920 I carry on duty as a police officer. I have an optic mounted on it and this is the flattest shooting most accurate and reliable pistol I’ve shot
Bought the DR920 a few weeks ago, been breaking it in during this fun ammo shortage. So far so good, I have several shadow systems products and they never disappoint me, will eventually transition DR920 into a duty role
This is a great gun when added with a suppressor it shoots great and is so quiet. The cycling of rounds is butter smooth. I want to get and elite next.
I currently carry a DR920 as my duty pistol. It replaced my MR920L as my duty firearm. I was extremely pleased with my MR920L but I wanted a Glock 17 sized pistol. My DR920 is extremely soft shooting. It is extremely accurate. I have never had a malfunction. Everyone who has shot this pistol has been very impressed. I chose this pistol as my duty pistol. That’s the best recommendation I can make
Bought the DR920 after I already purchased both MR920 variants while looking for a competition rig. The MR format was incredible, fast, compact and everything I expect with a G19 Gen5 but the DR920 gave me a slightly larger grip and better recoil control that absolutely crushed my accuracy goals.
I purchased this pistol not knowing a whole lot about the company. I liked all the stippling, the weight and size and the fact it is compatible with all G19 items.
I took it to the range the day after I received it and fired the 200 break in rounds. I was made a beleiver about the MR920 shooting fast and flat.
I am always on the look out for an DR920. I carry the issued G17 at work but will switch when I am able to get a DR 920. The MR 920 is my EDC/off duty choice.
This pistol is a home run of a design and set up.
Absolutely amazing is the first thought that crossed my mind the first time you unbox and people drool on it at the range
This model is better than expected, it is lighter and easier to handle than my Glock 19. It has easily become my favorite go to in my safe.
Have both the MR920 Elite and DR920 Elite let me tell you I probably never buy another Glock go shoots a SHADOW SYSTEM MR920 or DR920 than you’ll understand!
Absolutely in love with my 920. Has replaced a few of my 19s for my fav gun. May have to add a few more to the collection!
I love these guns. I own a War Piet and a MR920 elite. I’ve run 2k to 3k rounds through my guns a month and I’ve never had a failure. The break in period is very important with these guns but again no failures at all while firing. Thank you Shadow Systems. Great product!
I daily carry an MR920 Combat with a TLR7a, backup is a MR920L Elite and my newest full size is the DR920 Elite, these guns have all performed flawlessly and have protected my family since the release of the MR920.
The ergonomics and overall weight, comfort and accuracy cant be matched unless your willing to drop another $1,000+ into any other handgun.
Love the ergonomics, the shoot ability and the forward thinking design! What every striker fire gun should strive to be
This is my 1st Shadow Systems handgun and after shooting it…….it won’t be my last!
I don’t have many what I consider higher end handguns, but this purchase may just push me over that line. Fit and finish are awesome. Weight is great. Balance is just about perfect.
I’m new to Shadow Systems and hadn’t heard much about them prior, but the fact that a handgun of this style, design and quality is made right here in the good ole USA just sealed the deal for me.
Next on the horizon will be the MR920 elite.
Thanks guys for a great 1st purchase from your company
The reliability and performance on the DR920 has been top tier. The ergonomics, barrel/slide fit, and trigger promote excellent accuracy and follow-up shot consistency. The DR920 points naturally and the lightweight slide on the Elite allows for great recoil control, with quick Dot re-acquisition on RDS Equipped guns. I have been very impressed, and the look on everyone else’s face when they grab it says it all. Awe followed by Jealousy. Great product, keep it up!
Quality is far superior than the standard Glock. Fit and feel is amazing. Love the serrations and slide cuts. Only real issue is on the frame, the gas pedal feature adds some extra material to where the gun is not a clean fit in my G17 holsters.
Really the best u can get for the money. On the world of plastic guns.
And it looks bad ass too.
This is the best full size I have ever shot!! The low bore axis with the ability to change the angle of the grips, and the ability to apply any optical I wish gave me endless possibilities.
Great ergonomics, extremely light, very good quality. Would recommend to anyone as a carry gun.
I like the optic footprint. Accuracy is awesome. Shoots flat. It is very attractive
This pistol has become my edc, my competition pistol and my all around never leave home without it.
This firearm gives me the security of being able to perform on my worst day.
I really appreciate the time and effort given to this firearm. Your support is top level and I thank you.
Before I get slammed here.
I want to validate what I am saying.
I thought it would shoot well and it does.
It shoots better than a stock Glock but there is thing kind of thing sound when pulling the trigger I don’t care for like the sound is resonating inside the gun some where you pull the trigger.
Even Gucci Glock triggers are still crunchy Glock garbage just lighter and slightly smoother to the break.
That break is crunchy in Gucci and regular Glocks.
I just hate it.
The gun just feels to light and not solid.
It shoots well and is accurate.
The flattest gun on the market, thats a joke.
Look at other guns like any staccato P my Walther SF 4 inch and 5 inch.
My Zev 0z9
Any CZ 75 variant, the sig P210.
These are all another 200 to 1500 extra sure but they are way better and flatter guns.
You spend over $1000 for a gun thats worth in value $700.
I just cannot justify this when there are so many other better choices.
The Zev 0z9 eats this thing for lunch in every single way for another $500 or so.
Wouldn’t you rather pay another $500 and get the best version of a Gucci Glock there is, I would.
Even better than the Zev both Walther Steel Frames shoot unbelievably flat and the trigger is the best you can really get for striker fired.
Walther today is probably making the best value Guns for the the Money you spend today.
Meaning for every dollar you spend at Walther they give you tons of Value.
Sig is probably a close second for me.
Staccato is a great Gun but expensive so the gun is great but the value is not.
CZ 75 anyone variant same as Walther unbelievable value for the Money you spend there.
You want people to buy your shadow guns okay then build a better gun or lower the price and people will stop criticizing you.
I feel like I got took for $300 dollars essentially.
The barrel is great, the optics system is a really neat touch.
The trigger well we don’t want to go there.
The slide does not have near that premium feel that zev does.
The frame meh it feels like every Gucci Glock frame.
Credit for the original back strap system however.
Zev is the bar in the Gucci Glock world for a stock gun, it just is..
Very impressed with everything on this system. All the craftsmanship really shows and it’s very impressive. Shot countless rounds through all sorts of glocks and with out a doubt, this one takes the cake. Can’t wait to purchase another. Solid work guys!
Every aspect of the SS MR 920 Elite with a dot optic makes this my favorite handgun…. so much so, I bought 4 more.
Excellent gun no problems have enjoyed shooting the MR20
Couldn’t be any more happier with my SS.
Duty? Check! Concealed carry ? Check ! Home defense ? Check! This pistol can do it all with the reliability, accuracy, and straight up performance you need! Forget the 3k custom glock and get this pistol to outperform and outshoot those 3k glocks
Your DR920 Elite has been my edc since I bought it around six months ago. Added a Holosun Hs507c and a Bravo owb holster and don’t know I have it on. Have shot it enough to sight in and be comfortable with it but really look forward to putting many more rounds through it when ammo becomes more available. Really satisfied with the purchase Keep up the good work!!
Recently acquired the Shadow Systems DR920 Elite. Put the first 100 through it and it ran like expected. Also put a couple hundred through my MR920 Elite and my War Poet MR920. They all worked great. I am looking forward to see what the future holds for Shadow Systems.
I’ve owned several custom glocks and fully built Glock based platform pistols by various manufacturers over the years. I can honestly say that this is hands down my favorite shooter out of ever one I’ve owned. Shoots supper flat! Extremely accurate, and just plain fun to shoot. On top of outstanding products, their customer service is a thousand times better than ANY brand firearm manufacturer I’ve ever dealt with. Very prompt and personal service. I felt like all my questions were always answers very quickly and like I was talking to a friend on the other end of the line. Not just a client. I plan on doing much more business with them in the future! A++++
I own a MR918 combat and DR920 Elite. Absolutely love these pistols.
I own several guns, I had to use Glock for duty and always had a love hate relationship with Glock. Just by chance I discovered Shadow Systems and immediately love to shoot this gun. I own several of their guns and love each and every one. I ordered a few direct and always have had a great experience. The staff are fantastic and excel in customer service.
Great attention to important details as well consumer wanted details. Superior grip with the addition of being able to adjust the grip angle truly make their guns not only easier to control but also make it so for a much broader range of shooters. not to mention the superior grip texture and slide cuts, as well as by far the best “from the factory” optics system. Perhaps better than all that, is the attention they seem to pay to their consumers, whether it be to improve on certain features or add certain features. I can’t say enough good things about shadow systems thus far, I like them so much so that I currently own 3 and will probably be adding a 4th soon. My only hopes are, as they continue to grow, they keep up the fantastic customer service, and I’m hoping that in the near future they add a G43X sized model to the line up, or at least something in a subcompact model.
I do not often leave reviews but must say how pleased I am with this pistol. Brought it home disassembled and cleaned put around 250 rounds thru it. All I can say is WOW!!! Fells great shoots great. Love the sights and trigger pull and basically everything about it! Have a farm made my own range paper and steel targets. At 25 yds I was making that dueling tree steel targets dance. I am not that good a shot 63 years old LOL must be the pistol. My new favorite. Thanks for a great product plus American made big plus for me
Trained, competed, and daily carried this for over a year as of typing. Well over 2k rounds.
I currently use an MR918 frame with a custom milled G19 slide for my duty weapon and EDC. I’ve enjoyed the Shadow Systems slides as well, and consider them top notch. The frame is outstanding, and is a marked improvement over the OEM Glock frame.
The texture is exactly what I wanted, and I wish it was available from the OEM. It’s a small detail, but one that makes a significant enough difference in wet weather that it’s something that I would demand for any duty weapon since it helps maintain a positive grip when my hands are wet from rain, snow, sleet, sweat, and even blood (non-combat related, thankfully).
The grip angle and size can be adjusted using the backstraps to best suit the individual, and is a better implementation than what Glock has to offer. Another small detail, but one that helps with fitting the firearm to the individual, rather than having to train around a firearm that only mostly fits.
The magwell comes with a minor flare that works well as is, though an additional magwell can be added to ensure a reloads are difficult to miss. An additional benefit to the optional magwell is that it forces my dominant hand into the same position each time, every time. The added consistency is the biggest benefit that I’ve found.
The double trigger undercuts allow for a higher natural grip without the famed “Glock knuckle”. In additional to better ergonomics and control, it adds another index point for my support hand, which again helps with consistency in my grip.
Additional features that I’ve noticed are that the extended magwell is still low profile enough to conceal with a decent holster and belt. It’s on par with the Magpul magwell regarding size, and functions quite well. The beavertail is enhanced enough that I can choke up high on the grip without getting bitten by the slide, and requires me trying to get bitten to do it. The overall layout of the index surfaces and features lends to a repeatable and consistent grip, which allows me to rip and go more naturally.
All of these features are stock, and the added cost to the Shadow Systems offering is still less than the cost of each of these upgrades being added individually to an OEM frame. The same can be said for their slide, so the complete package is on par or costs less than a fully custom Glock, while still providing better overall features.
The Shadow Systems offerings won’t make you master class Tier 1 operators. That only comes with consistent quality training and practice. However, it does reduce limitations stemming from the gun by improving better ergonomics, high reliability, and a better overall fit with the chosen system. If a Shadow Systems is within budget, then I highly recommend one.
Shadow systems guns are the best out on the market.
This company and pistol are absolutely the best. No notes!
Awesome pistol at an amazing price
Shadow Systems pistols are the new standard in firearms. They sleek, stylish, and aesthetically pleasing. They are made from high quality materials by master craftsmen. And, most importantly, they go bang every time you pull the trigger. You cant beat their affordable high quality products.
Bought the MR918 elite a little over a year ago, and now have a little over 1600 rounds through it. Needed a little break on period but now that it’s broken in, it runs flawlessly. I’ve had it out to Frontsight in Nevada and DG’d (distinguished grad) their 4 day defensive handgun course. Fit and finish are great. I can run my gun through multitarget and holster drills with timed pressure like a veteran. Love this gun. Would consider buying the newest generation full size.
I have had my 918 for over 2 years and had no problems with it. It has a nice balance and it is fun to shoot.
This is one of the best not a glock glocks I’ve ever picked up and shot. Runs flawless and has all the perks of a customized gun. Love mine and recommend to everyone that asks is that a glock 19??
The MR918 Combat is the first pistol that I have owned, that was good to go right out of the box. I have gone through a number of different pistols, Shadow Systems have made my perfect pistol. And Made in America at a great price.
I’ve carried this for over a year as my daily cc and its been great. I have found most iwb holsters fit and retain very well. The best part of this firearm is the back straps the ability to make the gun fit and aim is priceless. And the customer service is one of the best.
So far this is the best bang for the buck on the market. I LOVE the interchangeable grip system because I’ve got a G19 size pistol with a G17 grip, without the discomfort of either ones trigger guard. One of the best triggers out of the box with great sights that cowitness perfectly with my 507 (lower 1/4ish). they don’t obscure my picture through the red dot or draw my attention away from it like so many others I’ve seen. It’s accurate and reliable as the day is long. I wouldn’t hesitate to pick up a DR20 if I had the cheddar.
Overall I am very pleased with my pistol. I caught interest in shadow systems after originally liking glocks, but wanting to upgrade the sights among other things right away. In comes the MR918. I purchased my MR918 at a local gun store after the MR920 was already out. I believe I got the best “Glock” out of the box that is possible for this price point. Taking a stock Glock and making it like this pistol would cost a lot more. Great gun, this is my main side arm.
My MR918 simply amazing. It shoots flat, feels very precise and is the best shooting out-of-the-box pistol under $1000 on the market. Bar none. I’ve put around 300 rounds through this baby with zero issues. The trigger is very tactile and has a smooth pull with a very satisfying reset. Target acquisition is simple with the bright forward sight. The included options for changing out the backstrap gives you a nice custom feel for shooters of any other style weapon. The magwell option makes reloads a breeze and can make anyone feel like John Wick. All in all, this pistol is worth every penny and then some.
Being stuck in Canada, we don’t have many options for firearms and what we do get sells out very quickly. That said, I am new to shooting at the ripe age of 47 and have jumped in with both feet. I have tried every single pistol I could get my hands on and purchased those that were available (and that I could afford). I can say that the way Shadow Systems approaches the design of their firearms truly reflects what shooters (especially new shooters) should be looking for in a pistol. Familiar lines coupled with tweaks that appear to be cosmetic but suddenly become essential as soon as you pick it up. The feel in the hand is unlike most others in the market and the ability to EASILY change back straps is awesome. Light, small and instinctively controllable , the MR918 is an absolute dream. As soon as you start learning about trigger control, reset and grip, everything about this pistol helps you understand these concepts immediately. Although not inexpensive, the MR918 is far above their competition in the under $1500 (CDN) range. Just shooting it has improved my shooting on all my other pistols! Keep up the good work!
Have you ever owned a Glock and then saw those Instagram gun guys with those gnarly customized Glocks that cost them $1,500+ and envied them? Yeah, me neither because that’s a lot of money for plastic. Enter Shadow Systems. You get all the better ergos of a custom Glock and the reliability of a stock Glock for half the price of the big names.
An amazing fire arm. I have the MR918L and it’s a great shooter!
MR918 = the sexiest piece of bad a$&@#y a person can have, conceal and just get nasty with if necessary. Pure American exceptionalism at it’s best!
This super accurate pistol is a joy to shoot and carry.
Is the best gun I buy in years
Like the subject says, I bought the MR918 optics cut model. It was being discontinued. Two of the best things I like about it; one is the way the backstraps work, second is mounting the optics directly to the slide. Improvements I would make you already did on the MR920. I’ve only shot a few hundred rounds because of the ammo shortage and price but it is a very accurate handgun. I am thoroughly impressed with the handgun and the customer service. Keep up the good work!
Love my 918. Everything a Glock 19 should be. I don’t even shoot my19’s anymore!
I have Shadow System MR18 Elite for the last two years. I have used this pistol in USPSA, concealed carry and two guns matches. So far I have shot over four thousand rounds through it without a single problem. I highly recommend this product.
Yes!! It will fit your glock19 holster.
Best shooting pistol I’ve ever used in 24 yrs. of law enforcement….quick/light recoil, smooth cycling and outstanding grip.
This pistol is simply incredible! This is the one other pistol manufactures should aspire to.I love this pistol more than my fully customized Glock. Great job shadow systems!
Why the MR918 replaced my Glock 19
First is the MR918 better? That depends on the shooter and what he/she likes or wants. FOR ME, again for me, it is. I say that having owned 30+ Glock 19s and EDCing one since 2005 when I switched over to the Glock system from my previous DA/SA SIG pistols.
Here are MY REASONS:
1. The grip fits me better than any 19 that I have owned or shot (with the exception of a Bowie Tactical grip reduction and a Robar grip reduction 19). The adjustable back – rear hump is a great feature. The stippling/texturing on the grip is fantastic – for me. Better than any texture on any of the different Glock 19 gens as far as I am concerned.
2. It comes with a very good trigger, better than any stock 19 trigger that I have ever shot. I am a stock trigger guy, always have been; I’ve only bought one after-market trigger in 35 years, a SSVI Tyr trigger – and I didn’t even install it in my 43, I ended up giving it to a friend. The trigger on the MR918 is a factory trigger, so no-one can say “oh lord, he modified his trigger; yada yada yada” something that means something to me (I know that not all shooters think that way, but I do and it matters to me, if it doesn’t to you – no problem, I can understand that too.)
3. Sights – fantastic, I like them a lot. Yep, I can get Trijicon HDs or Ameriglo’s for my regular 19s and I like Trijicon HDs a lot, but getting these for a stock 19 is going to cost some extra $$. So far the sights that came on my MR918s have worked well for me. No changes.
4. Barrel – I can shoot my 19s good, but with the MR918s (all three of mine) I am getting to an almost “surgical” state. I am impressed with the accuracy of these guns. Both my wife and a couple of friends who have shot these guns agree on this, my buddy is looking to sell his M&P 9c & Glock 48 to free funds for a MR918 – he’s that impressed.
5. The beaver tail and undercut on the trigger guard = fantastic, these two points have been done perfectly.
6. All of the above and the fact that I can still use my Glock 19 and Magpul mags and all of the dozens of Glock 19 holsters for this gun – a big plus (this wouldn’t be the case if I switched from a Glock 19 to a different brand…)
I had three 918s, but ended up selling one. Purchased a 920 Combat with an optic cut, but sold it off unfired – I wasn’t ready to make the switch to dot sights at this point in time, so I freed up some funds for another purchase. Maybe down the line I’ll pick up another 920 with an optic cut.
In all I really like Glock 19s, but now with these guns, I don’t see myself owing another one again (unless my friend decides to do me a solid and sell me that Robar grip reduction 19 that he has… still working on that!).
Been EDCing the MR918 since February of 2020 now – REALLY like this gun, consider me a BIG fan!
Thanks for asking my opinion.
I purchased a MR918 @ 2019 and had to send it back to you as the shells were jamming up. I had great service and the turn around was incredible. You earned my business.
Upon hearing my brag on my MR918, my daughter (Jisel Blasi) purchased a hand gun for her honey from you last year as a gift.
Same problem. Gun jams. I told her to call your service and when she did, you guys basically blew her off because she is a girl.
Sorry, you asked and I telling you how I feel about it now.

Perfection, mastered. Shadow Systems has pushed the envelope on what an OEM pistol can be. Having shot Glock 19s for many years, the MR series was an epiphany. NPOA, stippling, incredible slide machining and RDS mounting system, and SCIENCE!! I no longer own any Glock pistols, as the MR fulfills all of my roles. I have been preaching the goodness: demoing my personal pistol with students, friends, family, and anyone curious at the range to prove to them that a Shadow Systems deserves to be in their fleet. More importantly, it should become their daily driver for carry. I have converted many because a cost breakdown of the MR versus a Glock with equivalent upgrades just makes plain sense. You will not get more value out the box on the market today, period. I cannot recommend this company and it’s products enough. They simply speak for themselves.
OG MR918, 5000+ rounds of enjoyment. Soon to be owner of an MR920. I believe in this company, its mission, and its products.
You cannot find a better shooting pistol with that many custom features from the factory. Every feature on this handgun enhances the function and looks 100%.
I will buy another especially if they make a 43 x varient. Five stars ++++.
When I first got the MR918, I was very happy with the feel and texture of the grip, first trip to the range was great. This gun is very accurate and easy to shot accurately with the great trigger and sights. I did use the med insert in the grip and the mag well. I cant wait till I get the full size grip with my xxl size hands
Overall very happy with the mr918
I have purchased many handguns and describe this gun as the finest Glock style gun I have owned. Workmanship is outstanding quality is exceptional.
Shadow Systems has a gem on their hands. When I was deciding whether or not to pick up a Gen5 Glock at the time and then customize it, I had some choices to make. I was already thinking of upgrading it, but one quick look at the SS MR918, and I was amazed with the customized features I knew I wanted and in the end saved me money for ammo. Thank you Shadow Systems!
I’ve had my MR918 for a year and a half now, and it is perfect for my needs.
I conceal carry daily, and it fits comfortably in the two appendix-carry holsters I use (Vedder LightTuck and Hidden Hybrid single clip). I have a TLR-7a that I will sometimes have attached depending on circumstances, and it works/looks great on this pistol.
I’ve put right around 2500 rounds through it, and it has only had two failure-to-feed problems, both of which were in the first three months and which I believe were magazine-related. I’ve put all of these through it, and they all perform well:
Speer Gold Dot 124gr +P
American Eagle 124gr
Accuracy is excellent. Reliability is excellent. Aesthetics are excellent. I will continue using this as my main pistol until I move to a newer model of a Shadow Systems pistol and keep the MR918 as a dedicated home defense pistol.
My MR918 is everything I had hoped for, a very well manufactured firearm. The new models look great but honestly I can’t justify a new purchase, yet! Great job Shadow Systems!
This is a great shooting gun out of thy box. I carry this gun everyday and every where. It’s light weight and durable and easy to conceal
I’ve had my MR918 Elite for over a year now and it’s the only gun I shoot every time I go to the range. I’ve topped it with an Trijicon RMR2. The gun has been 100% reliable, shooting both factory target ammo and Federal HST as my self defense round. Easy to break down and clean, this is my go-to home defense gun, and all around range gun.
THe MR918 is just an amazing gun, I honestly sold all my Glocks and now only have a MR918 and MR920L. Highly recommend a Shadow Systems. They are everything you could need in a 9mm handgun! Get one you will not regret it!
I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. After installing a hollow sun red dot, and a compensator, we took this gun to the range to run a few hundred rounds through it. I was shooting it back to back with my friends Glock 34, and I have to say we both enjoyed shooting this gun. My next gun purchase will definitely be another Shadow systems. Way to go guys.
Love the handgun I own the Mr918 with the threaded barrel.
•Shoots any brand 9mm
•Easy to clean
•Barrel nut falls off if not tighten extremely tight
Rate: 10/10, would recommend.
My daughter and myself have used this gun for over a year in many competitions. The trigger has not vetted any better and I either gonna trade it for another type gun or I will have to replace the trigger to something smoother.
Went into the purchase expecting another Glock clone and what I got was a firearm that was better in every respect.
Luv this pistol. It’s this 1st one out and the last one in every time I shoot.
Gun runs smooth
Very happy with the mr918 overall great pistol and hands down my favorite very reliable and love the feel in hand not to mention the beautiful appeal of it
This gun is amazing. It handles extremely well and functions flawlessly. I can’t wait to purchase my next one.
Let me start by saying I have been a avid shooter and collector of firearms for almost 40 years mainly concentrating on the 1911 format. After many years of lugging around a full size steel 5″ 45acp I decided to start looking for a lighter polymer EDC that checked all the boxes for my needs. I currently own several from Springfield, Smith and Wesson, Glock and CZ. While they are all great firearms they were lacking in certain areas. While shopping for new pistol at my local shop I noticed the MR918 in the case after about 30 seconds in my hand it just felt right. So it and a Trijicon RMR came home with me that day. The MR918 is on my hip all day everyday the fit form and function of this pistol is everything I was looking for. Currently I have about 1500 rounds through her without one non ammo related stoppage. One a side note she is a beautiful firearm. Looking forward to picking up the MR920 soon. Great job Shadow Systems! I am a fan.
I bought my MR918 in as new condition for the original owner who needed the money – I’ve not shot it a lot but of all the GLOCKS I won and have owned this is the most accurate and best shooting gun I own!! I only wish I could afford another one!!!! IMHO if you can only own one pistol one of the SHADOW SYSTEM guns is the one to own!!!!
After I purchased my MR918 Elite, had to reteach myself how to shoot again because of how well balanced this pistol is. With my Sig, I would have to compensate my aim and shots due to the weight and high bore axis. The MR918, on the other hand, has none of these issues. It’s such a pleasure to shoot. The quality and craftsmanship of the piece is exquisite. It’s my everyday carry and worth every penny I spent on it. Customer service was amazing with me also. Thank you again, I cannot tell you how great this pistol is!
great gun, shoots good, I love the trigger.
I have owned my MR918 for about a year now and I really like this pistol. As a military veteran and retired LEO I have handled and fired many different types of semi auto pistols. The only (minor) complaint is that the recoil spring is very noisy. It screeches as the slide is operated. I’ve never had that happen before.
As a competitive shooter and a person that is required to carry a firearm every day for my profession, I am confident enough to say the Shadow Systems MR918 is by far the best handgun I have had the privilege of shooting. Highly HIGHLY recommend it.
I’ve had this firearm for about 2 years now and I’m still in awe at how well built it is. I always wanted a “glock” type pistol but could never get over the steep grip angle. Shadow Systems fixed that problem as well as many others that plagued a design that was in desperate need of a overhaul. The optics cut is one of athe other main reasons for my purchase of the 918. I was never very confident in mounting plates/brackets. I told myself if I was ever going to spend that much money on a pistol sight, that it must be a direct mount. I’ve let 3 friends shoot it so far and 2 of them now own 920’s. My only regret is not having enough ammo to shoot through it (stupid shortage). I’ve heard that the Shadow Systems customer service staff is extremely helpful and polite. I would love to speak with them someday, but doubt I will have ever have to.
Great pistol, own 2 now.
Purchased my MR918 elite over a year ago. Sold my Glock 19 MOS for it and have not looked back. It has surpassed my expectations. I have increased my speed on all standards drills, while maintaining or surpassing previous accuracy. I’ve carried it on and off duty the entire time. It has handled severe rain, dirt and dust without issue. Zero issues with my Trijicon RMR mounted on there. Fits all my holsters (raven, bravo and my safariland 6354DO). I love the magwell and even keep it on while carrying concealed. The sight height is perfect for mounting a red dot (out of the way, but visible if needed). Thanks for a great product.
I purchased my MR918 about a year and a half ago because to be honest, when I saw it in the case at LGS I thought it was a custom Glock. I’m a fan of Glock and their products but boy was I pleasantly surprised when I got the MR918 home. Made in the USA by a USA company was a huge plus also. The gun just feels right in your hand. The back strap replacement is so much more stable than Glock also. Then it was range time and wow, the front sight just lights up and the accuracy is amazing. Yeah, this ain’t no Glock. First range session. Was popping the x at 25 yards easy. The gun feels so good and is also a good bit lighter feeling than a Glock. I was a little skeptical of the magazine choice but after several hundred rounds and no malfunctions, all is good and the MR918 is consistently in the CCH handgun rotation. The finish on the slide is phenomenal also a d doesn’t scar up like Glocks or Springfield near as easy. Will probably get a MR920 at some point as well but for now the MR918 is awesome. Great job Shadow Systems and keep pumping them out and get your share.
The absolute pinnacle of off the production handguns of the day!
Out of the box this gun is what one needs fir full size EDC. The Holosun red dot is a perfect match for dependable accuracy. The trigger is much improved over the Glock
I am retired from law Enforcement as. Firearms instructor for my department and police academy. I have shot a lot of pistols from Glocksto Sigs H&K Smith and Wesson. I have never shot a weapon with all the bells and whistles that come close to Shadow Systems. For the price. What an awesome weapon.
I have been teaching combat shooting and tactics for over 25 years. The Glock 19 and 22 have been my weapon of choice, throughout my career on SWAT. I purchased the MR918 several years ago and it is my most reliable and accurate handgun. The MR918 is my primary handgun and it’s reliability is a crucial. Shadow System “Rock”!!!
Let get weight, super easy to shoot and perfect for anyone running a red dot! Save the hassles of a bunch of upgrades on a stock Glock … it’s already down for you!
I jumped on board early in Shadow Systems’ making handguns, and I don’t regret it. The MR 918 has been the flatest , and best gun I have ever owned!
I have had my Shadow System MR918L Elite for a year and it has quickly become my go to range pistol. I have put over 2600 flawless rounds through it. The gun is amazing but Shadow Systems customer service is even more amazing. In fact, I would say its the best in the business. I recently had an issue and after a quick phone call and an email with some photos my problem was quickly resolved.
I am looking forward to getting my hands on the MR920L elite to increase my collection. Thank you Shadow Systems for a great firearm and amazing customer service.
I’ve been shooting a MR918 for quite some time & have had no issues to date..
I added the MR920 to the lineup just for the little changes & it too has been a great gun..
Keep up the good workmanship 💯 love these guys & their guns they produce.
Felt in love at first trigger pull, love was solidified at the range the same day. Cant describe how flat this pistol shoots. Ready for carry straight out of the box.
Still running my mr918 on duty daily. Never had an issue and still the flattest shooting 9mm I have owned. Going on 2 years I believe now. Couldn’t be happier don’t plan on switching anytime soon. Has been through rain, mud, dirt, and anything else you can imagine in Texas. I run a k9 so you can imagine the places we end up. Great product.
I have been using my MR918 combat as my EDC for over a year. Being a combat, it is not as pretty as some, but it is a work horses not a sho horse, and, it has never failed me. Works great with both the pmags that came with it and the assortment of Glock mags I have. Even though I have had zero issues with my MR918, the two times I have contacted customer support with questions, they have been very quick to respond. If you’re looking for a gun that is set up right, straight out of the box, I don’t think you can go wrong with Shadow Systems.
I have 1 my son has 1. I liked his so much i traded my glock in for 1.
Regardless on what your intention is, this is my go to firearm. It can be used for EDC, conceal or just to go to the range. Smooth, comfortable, and easy to maintain. I highly recommend to anyone.
My Shadow System War Poet is everything I wanted it to be as my first custom Glock. I have had the firearm for over a year now and have had no issues as I’ve been able to shoot at the range, along with CE courses for work where it has proven itself flawlessly. I highly recommend! I look forward to the day I get to purchase another Shadow Systems Glock.
What can I say aside from its been real reliable.. I love it..
The build quality on my Shadow Systems is amazing. From the grip texture to undercuts, it fits my hand perfectly. The quality of the barrel and slide really set it apart from any of the CZ or Sig pistols I own. This is my new favorite pistol!
Lots of folks say “well it’s just a tricked out Glock 19”….. couldn’t be further from the truth. I purchase an MR918 combat in 2019. Was so impressed with the weapon I purchased a MR918 Elite (optic ready) two weeks later. The trigger… wow. For a “stock” trigger it’s best I’ve ever fired. Just as good if not better than what you’ll find on a Staccato or Wilson Combat and at a fraction of the cost. Weapon is robust and tough. If you grab an optic ready version mounting your optic of choice is easy. Fit for my hands is perfect. Fit for my girlfriends hands is perfect. When she took her friends shooting for first time she put the 918 in their hands and “ping, ping, ping.” Made it a real fun experience for them when the weapon really did most of the work. Customer service with Shadow Systems has been great too. You all really knocked it out of the park with the MR918/920 series (and this is coming from a Staccato owner). Can’t wait to see what the next innovation will be.
I own a MR918 combat and DR920. Absolutely love these pistols.
My pistol has been great! If you are looking for a pistol that’s a whole lot closer to perfection I’d highly recommend one. I had to contact customer service one time and the were total professionals!
five stars across the board, everything you look for in a handgun and some features you never knew you wanted as well.
Couldn’t ask for a more epic EDC weapon! I’ve carried this everyday, everywhere since I purchased it last year. Can’t beat the options, accuracy, or price. Highly recommend to all!
I purchased my M918 over a year ago. I retired my Gen 2, Glock 17 and searched forever for a replacement. As a private pistol instructor, I shoot 100-500 rounds weekly and this gun has never failed. I retired in 2016 from the US Army. I spent 12 years as a Green Beret and spent many days searching for the right pistol for me. I would take this gun to combat! I don’t know of a better compliment than that. Shadow Systems does it right. This is a custom level gun without the custom level price tag. Out of the box, this gun is a beast!!
I had my MR918 for almost 2 years now and I probably put about 2k rounds through it so far with 0 issues. This weapon stays on target. I have to say this is indeed my favorite pistol I own and is my daily carry.
I’ve owned my MR918 for several months now, and I’m so glad I made this purchase. This pistol is my everyday, everything gun. Im strongly considering selling a majority of my collection because they can’t compare. JK…but I’m fairly confident I no longer need to buy the “latest, greatest thing” that comes into my FFL anymore!
Thanks for making a great gun…I’m one happy customer/user!
The Shadow System MR920 combat is one very well designed pistol, it fits your hand like a glove, the trigger undercut allows for a great high grip and the accelerator cut allows you to keep that recoil down and unleash some freedom seeds! By far hands down the best pistol I’ve ever owned! The break in period was nothing major at all! 3 failer to feeds in the first 3 mags one a piece and nothing else! I have no doubts this has become my daily carry and what I will train with from now on! Great work guys!
To start, I’ve never even heard of you guys until I saw an MR920 at my local gun shop. However, the trigger, grip size, sight picture, and trigger pull left me with a great first impression! I had a general idea of what I wanted, which was a pistol that was ready for both a red dot and a suppressor, and yet, most of your competitors were offering either/or, which was really frustrating! After two months of drooling over it, I finally pulled the trigger. After owning M&P’s and Glocks, this pistol really gave me a “wow factor”, which I haven’t felt since buying my 1911. I finally put 150 rounds through it today and I was so impressed with its recoil control and accuracy! I’m really looking forward to throwing a red dot on it!
was finally able to take my newly purchased SS out to the range this morn to break-in…
Very smooth running, no issues to report! trigger very smooth and clean break!
Highly recommend this pistol and cannot wait to mount my Holosun optic and back out to the range!!
I was looking to purchase a Glock19 until a trainer at gun club let me shoot his MR 920. I really liked everything about it; did a lot of research and look at utube videos especially the Warrior Poet Society and was convinced. I’ve put 250 rounds since it arrived and I know I made the right choice; great trigger pull and smooth recoil. My wife enjoys shooting this Shadow System as well.
I have a rather large handgun collection including Sigs, H&Ks, and Zevs. My MR920 is by far my best shooter. It shoots flat and is incredibly accurate. It is also ultra reliable. If I had to trust my life to one gun in my collection, it would absolutely be my MR920. For any Firefly fans out there, “I call it Vera.”
Probably the flattest shooting pistol I’ve ever fired. Great CCW and range fun. It’s what a Glock would look like if it was sexy.
I finally got my hands on a MR920,went to the range and i had to have another MR920. I finally found a gun that ill continue to buy and own from now on……SHADOW SYSTEMS!!!!
The mr920 is such a great value. To get the same stuff from a stock glock and doing it yourself it would cost 1200-1500 and still not get some of the features you get on the mr920
This thing is great. Combines the best of all Glock inspired pros and conveniences, and has that competitive price point. Looks and feels great too.
First off, I’m going to tell you I work in the gun industry but have no affiliation with Shadow Systems. My friend lent his MR920 to me for review and I had low expectations. I am not a fan of striker-fired guns and after shooting a few other brands based on the 19, I was of the opinion they are not worth the extra money…. until I shot the MR920. This is worth EVERY PENNY and is the best pistol in the G19 style. The trigger is perfectly balanced between light and reliable, the cocking serrations are in the goldilocks zone…. not too soft… not too sharp…. just right! And the grip angle and mag well are perfection. To have a gun at this price and of this quality is a real benefit to the industry and I tell everyone that the MR920 is now on the “must-have” list for any gun owner.
I recently purchased a firearm from Shadow Systems and I have loved carrying this gun every day I’ve had it. It fits my hand extremely well, it’s reliable, it feels like a Glock, but with every modification I could want at an affordable price. Great product, great service, and I can’t wait to buy another one from them soon.
The shadow system is a vast improvement on a already great design. I really love mine.
I’ve ran stock Glocks for years Luke most people. Deciding I wanted more out of my Glocks, I decided to look into customizing one. That’s when I found out about Shadow System’s MR920. All of the features I wanted for less money than buying a new Glock and getting the work done. Clean and functional slide cuts, great frame texture and feels great in the hands. It shoots flatter than a stock Glock, the optics system is WAY better than the MOS system, trigger and barrel are better than a stock Glock Gen 5… Just above and beyond anything a stock Glock is. BUY ONE!!
I picked up a MR920 Combat with a threaded barrel and optics cut yesterday at my LGS. The firearm is amazing.
I took it home and dryfired about 100 times with an iTarget laser set up. Then I disassembled it, lubed it and took it to the range with 500 rounds of ammo. I expected some break in hiccups, but had none.
I ran Speer Gold Dot 124 +P JHP, Super Vel 115 FMJ and Winchester Ranger 147 JHP. I loaded the mags with 15 rounds, 5 rounds, 10 rounds and the gun never had an issue. The ejection pattern was consistent at 3 o’clock.
I checked my POI with my first 15 rounds and it was 1/4” left. I ran through the remaining rounds at a semi quick pace, both supported and unsupported with no issue. I got the gun nice and hot and with my last 15 rounds checked the POI again. The gun was dead on.
I have added it to my carry rotation with 100% confidence. The 1911 style grip angle is what I settled on and it fits my hands perfectly. As a retired NYPD Detective who carried a Glock since 1994, I can say the MR920 is exponentially better in terms of ergo’s.
I attached a target of my last 15 rounds fired when the gun was nice and hot. She favors the 124 gr but is no slouch with 115 or 147’s either.
You guys rock,
I’ve been a Glock guy for more than two decades. I’ve tried a lot of other guns through the years but, none of them succeeded in supplanting the G19 as my main defense pistol.
That all changed after purchasing my first MR920. It’s the first handgun to not only be different but, it’s an improvement over the G19.
It maintains the simplicity and reliability, while offering noticeable improvement/features.
The fact that SSC can do so at the price point, is amazing.
I love my War Poet! It took me a little while to figure out the blackstrap configuration that worked best for me. Now that I’ve got it set up just how I like it, I couldn’t be happier with it. Can’t wait for the next range day!
I’ve always been a Glock guy… I cut my teeth on glocks and have been training with them for years but the grip angle and the little bump just didn’t fit as well as other guns, but my Glock kept running so I just lived with it. So when I was at a local gun shop and they had the SS MR920 in FDE, I was smitten. After bringing it home, I fell in love. It felt like I “knew” this gun. After putting a few hundred rounds through it, there’s no other handgun that’s even caught my eye. I would not hesitate to walk into a combat situation with this handgun on my hip. The trigger, the grip, the lightweight, the slide work, and the lite recoil is just superb. Well done Shadow Systems.
This gun is amazing. I had a few issues during the break in period. After the break in the trigger is still not as light as I want but it’s overall still an amazing gun!
I seen this weapon in the display case at my local gun store in Las Vegas with the holosun red dot. I seen the price and kind of threw me back a bit but after holding it and checking out all of the awesome features this weapon has I had to have it. Didn’t have time to fire it for a few weeks after purchasing it and this weapon is flawless. I love taking it to the range now and when people see it they have so many questions about it and have let a few people actually shoot it and they were sold.
I have both the elite and combat. Both are great shooting pistols. The triggers are extremely smooth. They are a tack driver. Have let let others shoot them to convert them to this brand. To get the same set up from a stock Glock you would spend twice as much. You can’t go wrong with any of these pistols.
Looking for this pistol after being constantly out of stock, I absolutely jumped on the MR920 Combat with a threaded barrel the second I saw it behind a shops display window.
It goes without saying, but the price point for the features you get in the pistol in its “straight out of the box” configuration is a steal in many rights. Normally in this price range, you would get a barebones pistol which in their own right isn’t a bad deal on its own. To get the fluted threaded barrel, a similar styled trigger and in some cases, an optics ready system and frame modification, the end user would have to cash out extra money and go well over the $1000 dollar range depending on what the approach is. With the MR920, it comes stock with all of these features in a build of a sub-$1000 pistol with the value of one being well over this.
Performance wise, the MR920 is again, an amazing from the box pistol. It cycle of operations under normal range conditions, the pistol fed a variety of ammunition both for target and defensive shooting without any hitch found. Shots landed accordingly where you aimed as long as fundamentals were put in place, and its subjective “feel” while shooting the pistol feels very comfortable and manageable.
The Frame was designed with many users in mind, with the backstraps not just modifying the thickness of the grip in hand but also how it points, with the different straps essentially forming the grip into variants similar to that of either a Glock, M&P or a 1911 to cater to shooter preference or testing out which one gives you the best natural point of aim. The texture and cuts forward of the frame allow for a rest for the thumb for recoil control and the undercut on the trigger guard allow for a more comfortable feel that you would normally have to send the frame out for a custom stipple job. The texture itself is nice and grippy, not enough so where your hands would go raw or make you think twice as using this as an EDC for an IWB holster. Having friends shoot it, If you have sweaty hands and want more of a grip, you may want to move in that direction of adding grip texture from third party means or custom work. The addition of a flared magwell if you so choose was also a big plus if you wanted it. The magwell being flared enough for more efficient reloads while having a thin enough profile to still use it for conceal carry purposes.
The slide is a sleek EDC minded design. Edges are soft and rounded to reduce any snag from the draw and the serrations are present for your preference of slide manipulation without being too aggressive or just being there to be an aesthetic statement. Being optics ready, it already came out with raised sights and put my wallet at ease. The optics mount is something they did in house allows for deeper set screws and more secure mounting which they provide in the box at purchase for most of the current popular red dots. Take note that this may or may not cover optics outside of the current well known base, but they have a page and in box paperwork to tell you compatability for this plus spacers to reduce stress for the screws during active recoil.
In summary, the MR920 Combat is a pistol that pull from all facets of firearm utilization. It comes with many optional hardware and parts that don’t require it to be an amazing pistol. It can be as simple or modified as the end user wants it.
Their customer service is impeccable. By contact or by DM on social media, they were able to answer all of my questions without any issue or hesitancy. Another big plus is if I do not see this specific pistol in the stores option, it looks like their reputation and communication with other businesses allow for them to have knowledge on compatibility of their products with Shadow Systems.
+ Very familiar cycle of operations
+ Modular Frame grip style (Glock, M&P, 1911)
+ Comfortable Undercuts
+ Functional Texture
+ Forward Cuts for support hand
+ Flat face trigger with a non-intrusive safety mechanism
+ Sleek Optional Magwell
+ Rounded Frame edges and duck tail to decrease snag
+ Serrations are subtle but there for a reason
+ Stock raised sights (at least in this model)
+ Threaded Fluted Barrel (in this model)
+ Optics ready with varying set screws and spacers for a secured fit
+ Customer service is fast and very helpful, both from Shadow Systems and holster businesses/ companies that may not have their model as an option.
– May need to add more texture on grip for some
– In house plating and design may not be compatible with alternate optics (primarily enclosed) refer to paperwork or contact them for checks
– Check tolerances and design for 3rd Party accessories and modifications, may interrupt the cycle of operations. Always test in a controlled environment to ensure they meet personal operational requirements.
I have the MR920 Combat and an MR920 Elite. Both have been a pleasure to shoot at the range. With ammo what it is, I’ve been using whatever I can find. A lot of that has been remanufactured. The last bit I used wouldn’t feed in a couple Glocks that have aftermarket barrels, but gave me no problems in either of my MR920’s. Accuracy has been great. I can reliably keep my shots in the A zone at 25 yards using irons, and I’m not a great shooter. What I like the most is that a lot of work I would pay additional to have done on a Glock is already done. The only I wish was a little different is the grip texture. I personally like a rough grip surface. That’s just me though.
For my first ever pistol purchase I could not have made a better choice for myself. It could’ve been any other familiar brand that I know of. Sig Sauer, S&W, Glocks. But no, I got a more than good Gucci Glock. I love it. And I’m proud to be apart of this family.
My first ever handgun purchase could not have been a greater choice for me than a Shadow Systems product. First glance took me in and kept my attention. I didn’t want to bother looking at the other brand models. Great guns, but I was too hooked on the look. Shoots great and feels good in the hands. Too nice. I’m proud of my choice and could not be happier. Thank you to your team.
I absolutely love the gun, the overall feel and appeal, most of all is how light it is .
I have been researching 9mm handguns for over a year. I had my eyes on various other brands. Once I was educated about the Shadow Systems MR920 by a Scheels employee I was immediately sold. The second I held the gun and got to know the overall feel and operations I walked out the door with my new MR920.
My MR920 Combat was my first venture into the higher end market of handguns. I had previously owned several glocks, an XD, and a 1911. I always loved the glocks and had always dreamed of “pimping” out a Glock but, however, I could never due to the way a Glock fit my hand which led poor accuracy when shooting. The 1911 I owned was the complete opposite. I happened to stumble ablcross shadow systems while at a local gun store and the owner had told me that I would like it because of the back straps. He put the “1911” back strap in for me and I I absolutely fell I love with it when I gripped it for the first time. I took it home that day. Fast forward about 1500 rounds and it’s still performing like a champ. No issues at all outside the break in period per manual. The MR 920 has allowed me to have my dream “pimped” out Glock like handgun while also fitting my hand like a glove compared to a Glock. I sincerely cannot thank Shadow Systems enough for designing such a wonderful handgun. Looking forward to my next 1500 rounds through it.
The FDE MR920 Combat looked great and had some solid reviews, so I took a shot in the dark and made my purchase.
Never held one in person so I was anxious about its ergos.
When it finally arrived and I held it, there was a smile on my face that’d be worth a thousand words.
Love the serrations on the slides and chamfered edges and corners.
The high-profile backstrap fills my grip perfectly.
And the fluted barrel is just a pleasure to look at.
Planning on grabbing a DR920 in the future.
Keep up the great work ShadowSystemsCorp! 👊
A bit tipsy today (while not carrying). But love the feel of the MR920. Can’t say anything negative about it.
As a combat veteran who has done two tours of duty in Iraq I wish I had this pistol as my side arm. It’s by far the best side arm I have ever owned and I have owed Glock, Kimber , Sigs , Beretta and STI . I absolutely love this firearm and would absolutely recommend it to anyone!
The ergos on this pistol are excellent. The serrations on the slide makes sure my fingers never slip. And the chamfered edges/corners on the slide are a real nice touch.
Plus, it looks killer.
More than happy with my purchase! 👌
I’ve owned a fair number of handguns over the decades, but none better than the MR920. After waiting five months for my “War Poet” version of the MR920 with the Holosun 507C installed, it has become my go-to handgun.
The addition of a Streamlight TLR 7A resulted in a perfectly balanced gun for either the range, carry, or home defense, and after many decades of dealing with managing three focal planes, the “red dot” is one of those head-smacking life moments that made shooting both easier and more effective.
This beautifully designed flat shooting masterpiece belongs in your collection!
After selling an S&W M&P M2.0, the first pistol I ever owned and one that I liked and shot well but didn’t want to carry every day, the MR920 has turned out to be an absolute perfect replacement; it is a pleasure to carry and shoot. During the 2020-2021 pandemic that created a shortage in just about every handgun, I took my time and carefully considered several different pistols as they arrived in stores. I didn’t want to spend $1000 on a panic purchase. I also had to filter out all the different opinions on the models I was looking at, especially the inevitable comparisons (good and bad) to Glock. I personally never found Glocks comfortable in my hand and I didn’t want to spend another $500 on the suggested upgrades. But, it was a Zev owner with a decade of shooting experience with police and military who convinced me to even consider a second look at one, or at least a “clone” like the MR920. As he said, in all the years he had been shooting only Glocks and pistols based on Glocks were, in his experience, 100% reliable. Furthermore, the MR920 already had the upgrades one normally spends on a stock pistol and was earning a reputation for great customer service. I wasn’t very keen on the gold barrel at first, but after seeing it in person that opinion changed. It’s quite striking. Overall, the MR920 is handsome to look at, comfortable to hold (the 3 grip modules help but aren’t really all that different to me), and so, so light. Between the M&P and MR920 the difference in weight might be mere ounces, but feels more substantial. The grip texture is slightly less pronounced than the M&P, but much more comfortable against skin or fabric. The trigger on my old M&P was very good, though not perfect. The trigger on the MR920 is definitely different and took some breaking in. At first it felt almost cheap the way it clicked, like a toy; but, it has become considerably better in my opinion – just needed some breaking in! Now, I chose the model without the multi-red dot optics system, so I can’t give an opinion on this feature that other reviewers seem to like. I decided when I’m ready for an optic I’m willing to have a gunsmith do the work to mount exactly what I want. The sights on this pistol, however, have been perfect for me. The bright front sight is easy to detect against the blacked-out rear sight (again, much easier than the 3-dot system on my old M&P). In fact, I find it easier to focus on just the front sight at the range. Thus far, I have had to be conservative in how much ammo I can shoot in a day, but I can already confirm this pistol will be with me until the nut cases in Washington come and able to forcibly take it. Unless I lose it. While fishing. Someplace remote. Anyway, this is a terrific pistol and I highly recommend it.
This is a great shooting pistol. Very accurate and soft shooting. Will definitely be considering other models in the future.
This is the perfect carry gun with great recoil management.
I really do like the MR920, it is a great gun. The only issue I have with it is the finish. I didn’t even have it for a year before the finish started to rub off all the way down to the metal in a few spots.
On the function side of it, it’s still my favorite pistol I own.
Great reliability out of the box. I love the sights and grip options. I chose to use the small grip insert for a 1911 style fit.
I chose the MR920 over the OZ9C for several issues. Overall it has been the best bang for the buck firearm that I have bought. The grip is great in the hand, the trigger is perfect for a EDC pistol and the recoil impulse is flat flat flat. Super easy to maintain a 1/4″ deviation double tap.
Great pistol, great value. Compared with Glock, after changing sights, it is almost the same price. Flat shooter and excellent ergonomics. Thank you for listening and most of all, quickly acting and changing the platform for the consumer.
Purchaced 2 so far really like them
There wasn’t an option for the shadow system Warpoet but that is the version I own. My twin brother n I both have one and they are the ultimate tool! I have taken training classes with it, I shoot/train on a regular basis and carry mine every week… it’s an extension of me , of who I am and what I stand for. I will continue to protect my loved ones, and everyday Americans for God and country!!!!
I really like the way the pistol handles, the frame design and cut outs fit my hands well. I have spoken with ShadowSystems on the phone a few times with just questions that I had and they always made me feel like a valued customer and always took the time to talk to me. The only reason I didnt set 5 stars is just for the availability of getting an extra barrell from the website. I understand that they are using all available productions for upcoming releases so I aint mad though.
Solid Gun, shoots well, looks great.
I have the mr920 war poet edition and it’s the best pistol I own. I wasn’t a glock fan boy before this and after owning this I don’t see a point with buying a glock and having to upgrade every single thing on it to make it what you want. The Shadow systems mr920 has everything you need already done and for a fraction of what you would spend doing it yourself. I only have about 700-800 rounds through it (due to covid ammo) and I have not had 1 malfunction (even in the break in period) I also had a buddy run some steel casing through it and it worked great. Highly recommend. Will probably be getting the larger mr920L
Love the feel of grips, the balance of the weapon, and the aesthetics of MR920 Combat. My Shadow System comes stock with way more bang for the buck than the other popular same style pistols. Thanks for a pistol with all the upgrades at purchase.
Love this gun
Recently purchased the MR920 combat pistol and already looking to buy two more. It shoots great and is as reliable as any gun can be. No feed issues and highly accurate. It’s eaten every type of ammo I’ve put through it and the designers incorporated so many practical features. Very happy! Thank you Shadow Systems!
I own quite a few handguns and have to say that my MR920 has become my go to pistol for all training and self-defense. Love this gun. Now I’m planning on getting the DR920 as well!
You will not be disappointed with this gun. Only modification that I’ve made is I sanded down the front grip where my middle finger goes. Felt that was a little to rough. Would love to see a finger grove there but that’s just me.
Love it best hand gun I now own very nice trigger well balanced smooth shot 250 rounds through it in a single day not a single malfunction went out with my son to the range and had some fun red dot was on the money out of the box Very nice went with the 1911 back strap pull up on the sites very good a lot more hands on will help my changing from a standard glock grip always came up low on front site not now flat love it thanks for the product well build and thought out
Picked up my first MR920 for a Scott Jedlinski class back in October 2020. Mounted a Holosun 407 red dot. Shot 200 rounds to get used to it and zeroed @ 10yards. I had 1 failure to feed in the break in period which I only had to tap the slide into battery. The pistol functioned flawlessly in the class and with great instruction from Jedi I was able to achieve a lot of personal bests. I then shot it in two Complete Combatant classes in February 2021 again with flawless function. I received the top shot award on the first day, and got the purple belt patch. The 920 is my main carry and home defense pistol because it has proven its reliability with approximately 2500 rounds fired and only one failure. I prefer the grip and optics mount over its competition and it is a very flat shooting. Another bonus is that it takes Glock 19 mags which was my main handgun of choice before I shot the 920. I’ve carried and shot Glocks, Beretta 92s, various Sigs and Walther handguns. I don’t see any reason to change now because I’ve finally found a pistol that can do everything from defense, classes and competitions. I bought a second MR920 Combat to continue training and competing with so my first can stay in good condition for carry. Now I just need Shadow System to make a micro compact or single stack for NPE carry preferably with an optics cut lol. Thanks Shadow Systems for making a great handgun in Texas for this Texan!
Purchased my mr920 about 6 months ago, and has not left my side since!
This is one of my favorite guns! Great fit in the hand, great line of sight and weight!
I’ve shot Glocks for years and always loved how easy to shoot and how reliable they are. That being said, the sights always needed an upgrade and the grip texture was always slightly lacked. The MR918 and then the MR920 were total upgrades in all ways possible. Incredibly reliable, fun to shoot and easy on the eyes, this remains my carry gun to this day.
Absolutely love my MR920, so much I bought 2 of them. Carry it everyday. Best carry pistol that I have owned.
Locks in your hand and shoots straight. No malfunctions in over 3000k rnds.
I heard about the special edition War Poet pistol from watching John Lovell from the Warrior Poet Society’s YouTube channel. I hadn’t ever heard of shadow system’s before. After watching multiple positive reviews I decided to pull the trigger on the War Poet pistol. I have now shot over 1000 rounds through it and absolutely love it. I was particularly impressed with how the optic was sighted in perfectly before shipping. I have paired this pistol with a Tier1 holster and it is now my EDC gun. Thank you Shadow Systems!
Love the gun best 9mm I have very well made and very impressed wasent sure which mr 920 it is I think the combat the war poet that’s what I have Thankyou
I’ve been wanting a Glock 19 that have had a few but this one fits my hand so much better and I love how it’s made out for everything I want and everything you kind of don’t need but for the price it is very good and I carry it everyday it’s became my new everyday carry pistol and I love you thank you very muchregular Glock 19 Stone my fingers are kind of short so it don’t really really good but this one really fits my hand good
Excellent firearm. I have 3!!
I carry mine every day. I wanted to do a few things to the pistol after I bought it and I called Shadow Systems directly and they talked me through what I needed to do. Excellent customer service and a superior product are the reason they’re growing more and more popular.
When shooting my MR920 combat it’s like having a cheat code to a video game. It’s so boringly accurate that I can take a couple weeks off shooting it and still be centering all my shots. I have to try new shooting drills to make it even slightly difficult. Adding multiple targets at varying lengths and heights. It really is one of those pistols that feels like an extension of your arm.
The fit in my hand and the size is (IMO) perfect for a combat EDC pistol. The grip angle and arguably the best RDS sight mounting system are also strong pluses for what should be a awesome pistol. What’s keeping the MR920 from being perfect is two issues: The trigger and the difficulty in breaking the pistol down.
The first is nitpicking. Even though the trigger feels rough and spongy, especially when compared to my Gen 5 G45 and ZEV OZ9, but I can still swing 6 inch plates at 40 yards using practice ammo the RMR is not zeroed for.
Breaking the pistol down turned into a major headache. At this point my gun is locked up with the trigger back and the slide only able to move about 1/4 inch either way. Witness marks to line up the slide and prame would go a long way. My departments Glock armorer is looking at it tomorrow to determine if there’s something that can be done or do I send it back to Texas. I hope he can sprinkle some fairy dust on it and break it loose. I hope so because I really, REALLY, REALLY like the pistol. The more I shoot it the more I like it. It just needs to meet the standard for non finicky behavior.
I am the Chief of a small department (50 sworn officers) and considered the MR920 as a duty gun for some of our special divisions. Maybe the next generation after these issues are resolved.
Love it, get one
Coming from a military career of using M9s and P229s, you could say I wouldn’t be too difficult to impress. I’m somewhat picky and never actually fell in love with the conventional G-Gun platform. That all changed the day I picked up a MR918 elite in a shop and fell in love with just about everything about it. Bought it immediately and followed up with a MR920 Combat with optic cut and threaded barrel a few months after.
Performance is nothing short of magic. Grip comfort, durability, slide serrations, and optic system left me wanting for nothing.
I will hands down consider anything from the MR/DR lineup before I drop cash on another brand now. I’m a solid fan and will tell anyone who will listen of the out of the box powerhouse that these pistols are.
It’s time for you guys to step into the micro market and put out a CR921 with Shield S15 Mags out of the box…..I’d get your logo tattooed on me for a shot at one
Keep up the excellent work, because I’m for sure a return customer
I am French and I bought this weapon from the brand’s importer in our country where I work. As soon as I picked up the weapon and designed it, I sold my Glock 19 gen 5 because there was finally a weapon that suited me perfectly. After more than 1500 shots I’m still in love with my MR920
I’ve owned H&K, Glock, Springfield, Sig and others, and this is the best fit for me so far. I stumbled upon it while looking at a Competitors (overpriced) offering, and happened to see this pistol near by. After handling it I was sold. Super smooth, top notch finishes and quality, and ergonomics that can’t be beat. If you’re on the fence, jump on the SS pistols now.
Overall excellent weapon. After break in, it had performed flawlessly. Very flat shooting weapon and grip feel is awesome. Only 2 things IMO that could use some refinement is the trigger. Very long travel and pretty heavy. Reset is great though! Second On a weapon this high level out of the box I would have thought a better mag release would have come stock. No big deal though. But the trigger definitely! Hate the fact I have to get it modified. Again just my opinion. Can’t please everyone. LOL keep up the great work guys! Can’t wait to see what you come up with next??? Maybe a super concealable EDC version for us small framed guys.
I have owned almost every brand of pistol and have my favorites. This is now #1
This is one of the best tools that I owe. It shoots flat and is very accurate. Make sure to follow the break in process and the gun will be uber reliable. This is my new carry tool it has everything you want and need without having to upgrade anything once you get it. I am so impressed with this brand that I am looking to get a DR920 Elite when I can find one, they are that great.
Love the gun, first time I shot it I danced a coke can all 15 times. Really like the trigger.
I am really enjoying working with the MR920. The little features that the Shadow Systems team has incorporated into their product are both useful and impressive. I’ve never been a Glock fan but while there are some similarities, this is no Glock. Very happy with my choice and your product.
Excellent product. Intuitive and familiar design with the shooter in mind. fixes all the issues you’re experiencing with a Glock.
I’m so happy I did my research and knew what I was getting. This is my favorite polymer gun. It shoots flat, with very minimal muzzle flip. I love the stippling on the accelerator and grip. It shoots fast and flat. I love it!!
The single green front sight makes two-eye open target aquusition very easy. I wish the threaded bronze barrel was available in the elite model when I ordered, but I’m completely happy with the combat version.
My MR920 replaced my 1911 EDC. No failures in the first 1500 rounds. Several brands, several loads in fmj and jhp. The trigger did get a little easier to pull after about 125 rounds. Great trigger out of the box, fantastic trigger after a few magazines. Flat wall with crisp break and loud audiable reset.
This was my first Shadow Systems pistol and I’m impressed. Switched from SIG to FN about seven years ago and I have had great service out of those in local IDPA matches. I just don’t have gun problems with them when using decent ammo and my experience with the MR920 has been the same. Everything works every time and I haven’t found anything that needs changed. Just an awesome reliable gun out of the box. I can depend on it to work flawlessly when needed.
The only thing that could make me happier with my Shadow System weapon is if I had two! These weapons are built flawlessly and made here in the greatest country on the planet, THE USA! I’ve put close to 3000 rounds down range and not one single malfunction or hiccup of any kind. I carry this weapon religiously and have since retired my Wilson Combat, my Glock and both my Colt 1911s. The craftsmanship of the weapon along with the customer service is nothing short of spectacular. If you want a weapon you can rely on buy a Shadow Systems weapon, trust me you’ll never carry anything else!!!!
Ever since I got the MR920 Combat my G19 hasn’t come out of the safe. Absolutely love everything about this gun. Plan on getting another for my wife.
I have a lot of different brand handguns and by far this is my go to for EDC. Best handgun for feel which makes you more confident when carrying. Keep up the great work!!!!!
Best barrels for P80 build!!
Without any hiccups about 1k rnds. Trigger works fine.
For years I have been in search of a pistol that had a natural feel in my hand. I have had at least a dozen 9mms from the high end to the low end. Nothing ever really gained my favor long term. Now things have changed. My first time with my MR920 was love at first shot. The balance, the feel and the accuracy stole my soul. I am old school and done roll with all these red dots so the combat was an easy choice. Thousands of round through these and not once has either of them let me down. Thats even with cheap range steal cases. These will stay with me the rest of my days. No more looking…
Absolutely the best pistol I have ever shot. Super flat shooting, great ergonomics and great mechanics.
Great gun to carry and use in pistol matches easy to use and accurate. No issues except that it’s a smaller frame then I would like I can’t wait for the larger version.
The best self defense handgun on the market.
Bought the MR920 without knowing anything about it besides a recommendation from LGS. So very happy I took the plunge! Great shooting pistol. The optic cut and ergonomics are all top notch. Also shoots wonderfully when shooting suppressed. Without a doubt my now most used pistol in the collection. Thank you Shadow Systems.
Appearing at my local gunsmith’s store, wearing my 920 I had three locals offer to buy my 920! Including my gunsmith!! In this day of scarce product, I consider myself pretty smart for buying it when it was available. While I am somewhat of a novice pistol shooter, I did learn to watch the Shadow Systems YouTube videos and was able to pick up some tips. I definitely improved using the techniques displayed. Thanks for doing that. For the record, as soon as I am able I will be the owner of a 920L. Can’t wait. LC
Light and 100% better G19 Gen5 next project will be the DR920 elite
I picked up my new Shadow Systems about two weeks ago. I’ve only been able to put 200 rounds down range, but have it dialed in with my red dot. The trigger is crisp with a light reset and allows additional shots to be fired quickly and accurately. The recoil is minimal and it shoots smoothly. It’s slide / barrel/ frame are snug and doesn’t have the typical Glock “Rattle”. I’ve had several Glocks, Smith & Wesson’s and Sigs… the Shadow Systems shoots better and smoother than them all!
Phenomenal finished (but improved) Glock 19, everyone who holds it just loves it, shoots flat, ready for finishing touches like a red dot or suppressor. It’s a great value vs buying a standard Glock and finishing it yourself. Shadow Systems is solid.
I had an FN FX9 that I could not shoot well. I tried new sights, new trigger, nothing worked. So I was in the market for a new pistol and saw a Shadow System MR920 Combat at my local gun shop. It felt good in the hand, lighter than the FN. The copper barrel was stunning and that it is compatible with glock magazines is a bonus.
The first time I took it to the range I was shooting it better than I ever shot the FN. It truly shoots flatter than anything I have shot. It handles recoil well. For a light pistol you can get back on target right away.
I have about 300 rounds through it and it has had no issues.
I find it is a great choice and compares well with other Glock type pistols.
I am truly happy with the Shadow System MR920.
I’ve only had my SSMR920 Combat for around 6 months, in that time I’ve put around 800 rounds through it and I’ve never had a single malfunction, even through the so called break in period!! Best blaster I’ve ever had, thanks Shadow Systems
I absolutely love my MR920! It is the flattest shooting, most comfortable, polymer pistol that I own. I dig that it comes with an optional flared magwell and different sizes backstraps, so you can get the perfect fit. The sights are very easy to pick up with both eyes open. The stippling is perfect- not to aggressive but not smooth. The stippling on the accelerator makes me find that perfect grip every time. But most of all I am impressed with the trigger. It’s consistent, not too heavy with a very crisp break and positive audible click. It’s a tac driver!
I have not had any malfunctions or failures in the first 1500 rounds. I did notice the trigger got slightly crisper after about 100 rounds, but out of the box it was better than the trigger on any polymer gun I’ve shot.
I did wish the elite version was available when I ordered, I would love to have been able to run a red dot, but the combat was the only available option when I ordered. Even though I didn’t get the exact model on my wishlist, I’m still 100% satisfied with my Shadow Systems MR920.
Thanks for a great American built gun!
I ran across the Shadow Systems MR920 Combat at one of my local gun stores. I instantly fell in love with it and purchased it. Took it directly to my range and it was amazing. The quality is unmatched in my opinion. Fantastic shooting gun and I’m now a forever fan. This is my new everything gun and I will be purchasing more in the future. Very impressed.
Shooting guns is fun and enjoyable and every so often a gun comes along that flat out excites you. This Shadow Systems 920 is that gun for me. I can’t yet put my finger on what it is about this firarm but the first 3 magazines left me with a huge grin! I am so impressed I just bought a second one, the Elite!!
Nice looking gun with features you would pay you would have to pay a lot for to modify your Glock. I really like the texture of the frame – no discomfort but very grippy. The grip has a flared magwell in front that does hurt my pink when I shoot. I have medium-large hands, but the regular gen 5 G19 grip works better for my pinky. This gun is very light at 21.5 oz and the felt recoil is somewhat uncomfortable. My g48 weighs 21 oz with a Shield mag and is more pleasant to shoot.
To quickly address the one star review previously left – it’s a crap thing to publicly knock a companies product because of your own stupidity and self professed lack of reading skills. (And comprehension, apparently).
Now, to address the 920 – I bought mine on a whim while on a trip to Scheels to get my pup his favorite snacks. I always wander through the guns to see if something is new and before I knew it, my guy, ‘Jake’ was pulling this out of the case for me to see. The second I grabbed it I sorta gasped since it did NOT feel like the 2×4 G19 we all know so well. This felt great! And the trigger is ideal – it’s wall–>break. No ‘slide’ off, no creep or spongy release, but a great wall followed by a firm break. I love the front serration ‘pocket’ – reminds me of the Archon Stryk B, which I love a natural recess for your hand to find when racking or checking.
When you take the gun down, you definitely see attention to detail with the internals and it’s definitely not a quickie Glock clone with a lone wolf, remachined slide and a P80 derivative grip. This is for real. This was an incredible impulse buy. I’m excited to see what else SS comes up with.
Being a gun range manager and firearm instructor I have had the liberty of shooting many pistols of all shapes and sizes but I must say the Shadow Systems MR920 is one of the best pistols I have ever shot before. The guys up there really know what they are doing with this pistol. From the exchangeable backstrap to the Pat pending optic mounting system this gun really is top notch. I ordered one for myself to try out and I cant get enough of it. I have shot over 1,000 rounds through my MR920 with zero issues and I will be carrying these pistols in my stores from now on. Thanks for all your hard work Shadow Systems Team!
I bought the MR920 Combat on a whim while browsing a local shop. I haven’t heard of Shadow Systems before but really liked the overall feel and look. I’ve been in the market for a 9mm Glock for some time. I have a CMMG Banshee in 9mm and wanted a sidearm that was compatable with ammo and magazines. I’ve owned Glock’s (non 9mm), Beretta’s, Ruger’s, Taurus’s, FN’s, Walther’s, Springfield’s. And have shot CZ’s, SIG’s and many other brands and models. This is one of the best handguns I’ve had the pleasure to own and shoot. My new favorite! Extremely manageable recoil and very accurate. Out of the box for a striker fire pistol it has the best trigger reset and break I’ve ever felt. This is what Glock should be. Extremely impressed and happy with my new favorite handgun. Bought this knowing nothing about Shadow Systems and am now a huge fan, they’ll get more of my business in the future!
The MR920 is unbelievably accurate and is by far the flattest shooting polymer pistol I have ever shot. That in itself deserves a five star rating, however, the customer service makes me wish I could rate it even higher. I did have a minor issue and I do mean MINOR. I have never seen a company willing and even eager to do whatever it took to make sure the customer was happy. This company is unbelievable and they now have a customer for life. These guys are far and away the absolute best gun company I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. They are not just what a gun company should be, but what all companies should strive to be.
I ordered the MR920 and was surprised that the optics mounting system was missing … okay, reading through the instructions, something I never do, I guess there are two versions.
One of the reasons that I bought the pistol was for that optics mounting system, now I am stuck with a standard rear sight version.
I really think you need to call this out better, yeah the information is there and noticeable once you know there are two version, but if like me you just watch the youtube videos you will walk away thinking that you are getting the optics milled version since it’s talked about so much, I ordered the weapon online and did not even occur to me that it was optional.
Pistol feels nice in the hand, trigger pull feels good, haven’t shot it yet and probably won’t, I guess I can probably sell it on gun broker.
Love the new mr920, purchased early this year. I owned 3 Glock 9mm pistols over the last 20 years, all gone the last one traded for the sig p320 compact. The 320 was good but I just couldn’t get there with it. I traded in the sig for the mr920 NOW I’m in love 😍 this gun is beyond all I could have imagined in a striker fired pistol, an absolute KEEPER.
Thanks guys for giving us the best pistol that I ever experienced. FIVE STARS
Sincerely, Bob from western Pa
I work at a gun store that carried the MR918 and wasn’t sold on it until I had two average Joe customers come in and say that they loved it and will not carry another pistol again. After that I decided to buy the MR920 because the MR918s were impossible to get. I shot 1000+ rounds through mine in the month that I owned it and I can’t give the pistol enough credit. It was the pistol I carried and want to carry again. I recently traded some their MR918 for my MR920 because I want to have both.
What if you could find a company who had unparalleled product quality, performance, durability and commitment to customer service?
What if you could find a company who was genuinely interested in continually improving their products and therefore listens to their customers?
Based on a few phone calls and without ever seeing or placing one of their products into my hands, I listened to my gut and I took a leap of faith in the people I had spoken to over the phone and I have not been disappointed with my MR920 or the level of commitment and professionalism at S.S.. I know for some who may read this that my initial comments may seem slightly exaggerated or hyped up but it is all true. The MR920’s feature set combined with the only universal optic mount along with being compatible with the greatest number of holster and compact pistol light options on the market make this the best all around self defense, conceal carry option available in my opinion. You no longer have to sacrifice a feature or an option you want for your personal defensive weapon because S.S. products deliver on every level and you won’t be disappointed.
Owned, carried and shot lots of Glocks and all kinds of other makes of pistols over many years. I may never go back to any of them after shooting the MR920 Elite. Love how this gun fits my hands, how it shoots, how light it is to carry, and how utter reliable it has been. Shadow Systems has hit a home run with this pistol.
To start, when you unbox this beast and unzip the carry bag you will hear the angels sing a triumphant ballad reserved for only the mightiest of swords.
Next as you gaze upon the serrated and ported slide and rack the slide back you feel just how smooth and mellow the movement is. You realize the feeling is something you’ve only dreamed about in a firearm.
As you go to pull the trigger you succumb to the effortless draw that is the trigger only to be in awe of just how soft and smooth tue slide rushes back ejecting your spent casing and bringing up a fresh freedom seed ready to be sent downrange. We wont even get into the fact it is hearing protection ready…like come on baby!!!
Afternoon after evening the gun will work just as intended and in all honesty the fact you can make the grip fit your beefcake of a hand is just amazing. Coupled with the grippy but not sandpaper stipiling it really is the last glock clone you will ever want and the one you’ve been drooling over for years.
Lastly the customer service. These vatos care..plain and simple. You got an issue? Call or email…they will actually call you back!
100 out 10, if you dont own one. Buy now, if you own one..buy another.
This gun is everything that you hear. Shoots flat and quick. The trigger is great for carry. Easy to get to the wall and quick reset with little travel.
I can see why this has the Warrior Poet name on the gun.
Don’t waste your time and money making a your Glock a good Glock. Don’t get me wrong I love to build guns and make them mine. The truth is you can not get a Glock to this lever for this cost. Plus the end product is going to work flawless.
Excellent pistol. Needs a good 500 rounds to smooth out the tight tolerance from out of the box. No jams or malfunctions
Light and well balanced….great for edc.
I did a lot of reasearch on this gun and waited for the 20 to come out. I am a cheap guy and have a hard time spending money but this gun was an amazing purchase. For everything they put into the pistol I was blown away. But the gun quality isn’t even what truly sold me on this. I got my pistol (I had put a comp on it) but was firing super tight groups that were methodically shooting low left. After having three other people shoot the same groups with it, I reluctantly contacted them (not wanting to be a pain in the ass). Immediately had a conversation with one of the dudes and that day he sent me two different height sights to try out and also offered to ship my gun back to them so he could work on it. He stayed in touch through the whole process. I eventually sent it down to him and he AND the owner did range time with it, changed sights, even moved them to my comp and adjusted everything to get it dialed in. Called me each day to check in, and sent it back. I cannot say heap enough praise on these guys as well as the product! I am constantly throwing the name out to anyone I know that is talking about a new pistol purchase. When I have the cash again, I will be buying another pistol from them!!!
I purchased a War Poet MR920 and was placed on a wait list. I didn’t realize how long the waiting list for the pistol was for but it was so worth it in the long run. This is leaps and bounds better than any other Glock I own, and am forever a fan of Shadow Systems! This thing out of the box is absolutely perfect and is the most flat shooting and pleasant pistol I’ve ever fired. I have it paired with a red dot and a light so it is literally the epitome of a duty and concealed carry light. I’ll definitely be purchasing more in the future and cannot wait for a 43x variant (hint hint).
having issues with last round open. already have 200+ rounds through it will put 100 more before seeking service. other than that great gun
About every 3-5 rounds I have to tap the back of rail forward. I’ve got over 1000 rounds through it and it still doesn’t slide forward all the way. I’ve tried many different brands of ammunition and still does the same thing. Not to pleased with this, was considering sending it back for service. Other than that, I love everything else about the gun.
This pistol exceeds all my expectations and has every feature you could want on a quality firearm.
Would buy again!
I purchased my MR920 Elite to be used for CCW. I’ve owned many glock an other weapons that could get the job done. My MR920 has many refined qualities to list. I plan to purchase more.
I have own many Glock’s over the years and have loved the simplicity & format, But never crazy about the the performance..
My MR920 is perfect right out of the box..
Thank you Shadow Systems
This is by far, the most amazing pistol for EDC. Paired with the best customer support in the industry, you will be equipped with the best firearm. The MR920 Elite has helped me take my training and ability to the next level. I love it!
I’ve had no issues during break in. They are very accurate handguns with all the upgrades needed already done for you. Between the two that I own, it roughly at 3000 total rounds with zero malfunctions. By far the the flattest recoiling handguns I’ve ever shot in the $0-$2000 range. I have dots on both of mine. They fit in most Gen 5 Glock 19 holsters perfectly. I have no reason to ever look at another manufacturers striker fired handguns. Simply perfect out of the box!
The Shadow Systems firearms are awesome! So much so I have multiple. 918 Combat, MR920 Elite qty 2, MR920L Elite. Next in line DR920 Elite. Keep bringing us new models…love these guns! Thank you!!
As a long time Glock owner, I had always ignored dubious upgrades and Gucci Glocks builds. No reason to mess with a solid reliable and overall excellent platform.
Glock’s patent expiration from the original design has opened a new field for a company like Shadow to build upon Glock excellent design and not skirt around it.
Shadow Systems has seized this opportunity and has done an excellent job in rethinking the platform and modernizing it while maintaining the reliability and most importantly safety that marked the original design.
The grip inserts have different angles that will allow you a much better range of options. The grip texture is vastly improved. The trigger is very good and still allows you to go to town with any upgrade you wish to introduce.
To me though the most striking (pun intended I guess) new feature of the Shadow is the optic mounting systems. They have redesigned the internal of the slide to accommodate for a deep cut in it, thus offering a gun with a solid and incredibly low mount point for a red dot. In 2021, a serious reflection on how to best make use and include red dots in the design of a gun is an absolute must, and yet the all the Austrians have to offer is a flimsy plastic plate that of course needs to be upgraded at an additional and not irrelevant cost for the owner.
I have shot the MR9 Elite a lot, and it’s a very flat shooting pistol with notable upgrades which has been shooting very reliably accurately and FLAT (see video I attached to the review) for me.
Lastly, I enjoyed interacting with Shadow’s CS. They are excellent and a pleasure to deal with, really second to none.
Currently on deployment so I actually haven’t been able to pick up my MR920 Elite from my dealer. All the reviews I’ve read and realtime customer satisfaction post all tell me I made the right choice and can’t wait to get home and get to the range.
Can’t say enough – having a great time with this handgun. Design and features add great value for the price. Well made. Comfortable to shoot. Very accurate. Highly recommended.
As everyone knows, the ammo or lack there of is an obstacle to train let alone, break in a new weapon. When I received my Shadow Systems MR920 Elite I decided to work on draw stroke, RMR sight picture and dry fire. And did I ever dry fire ! 2000 draws, trigger presses and re holsters. Before the first round was ever sent. When I did finally load a mag and send live rounds, it was like an old friend !!! Now it’s my EDC appendix position. What a team we make. Thx Shadow Systems.
So I am a glock guy and love the glock 19 but the MR920 changed everything for me. The cuts they did to the slide and frame make it really comfortable to shoot. I tend to trick out all my glocks. It is a money pit! The Mr920 is all ready tricked out and has solid components for both internals and externals! Save yourself money and buy one of these bad boys. It is a flat shooting gun. Looking for more range days with my Mr920 elite. Thanks Shadow Systems.
so i recently switched from a glock 43 to the glock 19 sized mr920. and i’m so in love with it. shot like a dream, the co witness with the optic is amazing. i got the bronze slide one, with the optic included already & haven’t seen another one since. super happy with my “gucci glock”
I have been extremely happy with the MR920 elite. It has easily been the flattest shooting 9mm pistol I’ve ever owned. I honestly expected to have at least a couple hiccups in the first couple hundred rounds, but even using aluminum cased ammo for the second half of the break in, it has been 100% reliable. I believe that all things considered, this is really the best value on the market in terms of performance vs price. I plan to purchase the DR920 as soon as I come across one in stock.
This Pistol is hands down the best I’ve owned and I have quite a few polymer pistols. The grip angle and trigger are perfect for me. My absolute favorite part is you can 1/3 co-witness with my favorite Optics as I hate supressor hight sights.
I have been a fan of Glock pistols since the late 80s. But even with the new generations, nothing significant really changed.
Then here comes Shadow Systems. I love the fact that it’s made in Texas.
I bought an MR920 Mr920 ELITE. Looks great and feels great.
How does it shoot? Freaking awesome. I am up to 2,000 rounds with mine and I love it. It eats every brand of ammo I give it.
Try one for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.
The MR920 elite is the best edc pistol I have owned. It is easy to handle, conceals well, and is an absolute beauty. I couldn’t have asked for a better upgrade to my daily carry system.
As an owner of a MR918 and MR920 I have purchased these pistols because they have all the features I want on a glock 19 right out the box. High-cut trigger guard, good sights, smooth trigger, 4.5lb trigger pull, better grip texture, and better grip angle. Bonus features is the fluted barrel, slide cuts, and rds cut. I am a critical reviewer but I was impressed with the pistols. Don’t expect 1911 like accuracy but I can outshoot a stock glock anyday due to the improved trigger and reset. i took one handgun course with this pistol and outshot my class, many who had da/sa pistols. I have executed countless drills with it, and it is my night stand and carry gun. The only time I have had issues was using norma brand practice ammo which causes a few stovepipes. I plan on purchasing a DR920 whenever the next first responder program is released
if you don’t yet own one, the answer is a resounding yes – they’re worth every penny. i have an elite and like the trigger the more i shoot it. if you’ve watched any video content you’ve heard about the machine tolerances, break-in period, and reasoning behind every design choice. the end product is a highly capable handgun that performs exceptionally well in a variety of scenarios. the grip ergonomics and controls shape and placement make manipulations consistent and reliable. the optic attachment system is brilliant – solid as stone and deep enough to give a lower third co-witness. if you run the factory irons, the front sight is quick to pick up and the blacked out rear reduces glare and visual clutter (i almost left the dot off because i’m used to irons and these are ideal)
I got a mr920 elite from a buddy of mine and I loved it so much I bought a war poet so now I own two. They’re definitely the flattest shooting pistols that I own. Highly recommended!
This firearm was an unplanned purchase but the minute the salesman put it in my hand I knew I had to have it!! It’s so comfortable and natural!! Took her home and she is amazing!! She is soo smooth and flat that I have a hard time buying anything else!! If you get the chance do it!! You won’t regret it!!
I have definitely enjoyed shooting the shadow systems more than any other gun I had. I traded in a Glock 17, for the shadow. My only issue is I wanted to put the Taran Tactical trigger kit in it. The shadow systems already has the TTI connector in it. Unfortunately there are serious malfunctions with the TTI kit installed. It works fine the typical Glock 19, so I am not sure why it doesn’t work in the shadow systems MR920. Otherwise it’s a great stock gun as it is.
Loving this pistol with the Holosun 507. The optic mounting system on these is far superior to anything else I have ever used. Very flat shooting and comfortable with a decent trigger. My favorite part is that I can keep a consistent grip angle with my M&Ps and Sigs, and still use my plethora of Glock magazines and holsters I already owned. My Glocks are going to gather dust now. DR920 next on the list, and really hoping these guys make a 43X/48 style gun with their touch. Excellent buy.
I have the MR920 War Poet model and have never shot a better tactical handgun! I’ve had people ask me if it’s a Glock and I can only laugh. The MR920 is what a Glock wants to be when it grows up, works out a bunch, and starts dating hot women! It shoots great, functions flawlessly, and looks meaner than a female Stasi officer! And value? You can’t beat a Shadow Systems gun for value. Do the math – you are further ahead buying an MR920 than if you try and build a Glock into something close to the Shadow Systems masterpiece. I could go on and on and on, but I’ll leave it at this: If you want the best tactical handgun on the market – get a Shadow Systems MR920. It’s worth it. The price of excellence trumps the value of mediocrity.
I’ve been looking for a new everyday carry gun for a while. And initially was gonna get a Sig Sauer P320; however, while pondering on YouTube, the Mr920 came across my page. Decided to have a look and do even more research and have been hooked since. It edcs nice and shoots smooth and flat. Best handgun I own and probably the only handgun I’ll own for a while. Great product!
I bought the Sportsman’s Guide exclusive model- the War Poet version for the extra handsomeness it give me. Legitimately I’ve shot multiple 9mm striker and hammer fired weapons (Glock 19’s, 17’s, M&P’s, FN’s, berettas, CZ’a, Sigs etc) and this is by far my favorite. The trigger is ever so slightly mushy but has gotten better with more firing. It’s always had a clear wall for me and easy, crisp break. Plus the recoil control is incredibly easy on the shooter, both experienced and new. I let new shooters try this one out frequently because of how easy it is on their hands.
Good option if you want a Glock 19 with the updates that are useful. I don’t like to assemble guns and hope they work. This is a good out of the box option.
I absolutely love almost everything about my shadow systems! Everything is so well thought out from the grip to the optics mounting. The only grape I have is the trigger. The trigger is not up to par with the rest of the gun. Even though I will have to upgrade the trigger it’s still a great buy and I will be buying more shadow systems in the future
I swear by my Colt 1911s, but a buddy of mine introduced me to Shadow Systems and I was hooked. As soon as I was able to pick one of these up, I couldn’t wait to get on the range. It just feels right in the hands and I can easily reacquire the target after each shot. It’s now my go-to on range days.
Long winded review for those interested:
The MR920 Elite is my first Shadow but it won’t be my last. The overall ergonomics, performance and form factor of the platform is an absolute improvement on it’s predecessor, and a vast improvement over others that share the similarities of the modern striker-fired pistol. The system to alter the grip angle of the pistol, versus simply making the grip more wide/fat, is in my opinion the best of the, “modular grip” pistols. It truly adds an extra feature that makes this a better pistol for virtually everyone. No matter the natural angle of your wrists, the platform has a way of feeling like a perfect integration to your hands natural point. The extended beaver tail does exactly as expected. Keeping the hand well guarded from any unfortunate interactions with the slide.
The serrations are very nicely done. They’re canted in a way that helps them grab my hands more effectively, and manipulate the slide with ease while not making it uncomfortable. Bringing to mind the difference of a firm, confident hand shake and an unforgiving experience with a box of razors as some slides apparently like to mimic.
Performance has been stellar. Despite a break in period being mentioned by the company, mine has run smoothly throughout my shooting sessions with both FMJ and defensive hollow points. My MR920 has quickly become my EDC for concealed carry. As not only is it on par or better with expected performance from a modern, striker-fired pistol. But it also manages to do so in a package that comes in lighter than most other main line brand offerings of its size and capacity.
If you can find a Shadow Systems MR920, or any of their pistols available and in stock, I’d whole heartedly recommend picking it up. You won’t be disappointed.
Forgive the poor picture, it’s of when I bought it. I was so excited I had found one that I couldn’t help but take one.
Now… if only I could track down one in FDE and one in that amazing Shadow Bronze.
I have an MR920 elite and I absolutely it. The grip changes alone justify the purchase for me. I love the simplicity and proven design of the Glock 19 but it’s not my favorite gun because of the grip. The MR920 fixes that and gives me a grip that I can actually love. The texture on the grip provides solid purchase without being overly aggressive and tearing up clothes.
Also, the choice of sights is fantastic. The large front dot is easy to find and the plain rear provides great contrast helping to acquire a great sight picture everytime. I have begun switching all of my other handguns to the same sights.
On a personal note, I’m not crazy about the windows in the slide but they aren’t the end of the world and I don’t get upset about it. What is more worrisome is the wear on the finish. While it is compatible with Glock holsters, not all of them are gonna be the right choice. My holster started to wear the finish off the slide within the first month of carry. It’s mostly centered around the ejection port. It’s merely cosmetic so it doesn’t matter much in the grand scheme of things but it is something to be aware of.
Overall, I recommend Shadow Systems to everyone and fully intend on picking up a few more. I haven’t been this happy with a carry piece in a long time and I look forward to years of great service from my Shadow Systems pistols.
Had been looking for one of these for a while. Then low and behold I found a guy selling one that lived in the same town as me. I jumped on the chance to purchase it. Glad I did. I’m a Sig guy but wanted to try something different. The Elite is amazing to shoot straight out of the box. Besides the amazing gold and black color scheme it is a smooth shooter. Easy to get back on target. The iron sights on it make it very to get back on target. Mine was preowned and came with 2 mags and an awesome SS soft pistol case. Its quickly becoming my favorite pistol!
I love my purchase, git ut in a fee weeks ago and slapped a holosun 507c v2 acss on it and has been my co concealed carry since.
I am looking to pick up another one at the first chance I’m able to.
Excellent product….will be returning.
I’ve had my MR920 for a little over a year now and have to say I could not be happier. Easily my favorite pistol I’ve ever owned. Gun is approaching the 3000-ish round mark and I can honestly say (not some Reddit-style exaggeration flex I promise) that It has yet to have a single malfunction. Even while intentionally running the PMAGs on the range in hopes of practicing such issues, the gun has yet to have ONE SINGLE hiccup. That to me is amazing and a testament to the quality and reliability of SS firearms. The only minor issue I have experienced would have to be the occasional brass to the face. Granted I dealt with the same issue on my Gen4 G19 so It could be my grip or something. Regardless it’s a once every 200 round thing and isn’t a big deal to me. But for anyone out there that wants a little extra out of the Glock platform, I highly recommend Shadow Systems. I’ve shot Zev, Salient, and other very high dollar companies and I would confidently put my MR920 toe to toe with them any day.
This collab you guys did with the John is absolutely beautiful and tactical! It’s so sexy I love looking at it and I love shooting it.
It’s a great gun for the price. I always wanted a Glock but hated the grip. SS fixed that for me. The direct mill optic system is absolutely brilliant and makes me SCOFF at MOS style plates.
It’s extremely accurate, light, and the included mag well is great.
The only con is the trigger. I hate it. LOTS of creep, inconsistent wall, and a weird break. Reset is great though.
Great pistol. This is the gun Glock wishes they could make.
Love my MR920. I’ve carried this gun for 6 mo. now and couldn’t be happier. Shoots super flat and no malfunctions after 1000 rounds. Thoughtful features like the gas pedal and grip modularity really enhance the gun. My Holosun 507C mounts perfectly to it and installation was quick and easy. Everything I wanted in in a carry gun.
I bought my MR920 back in May with about a 12 week lead time. After much anticipation I received in mid October and I’ve been in love ever since. I have roughly 4000 round through it, most with a light, comp, and rmr on it, without a single malfunction. Its my edc gun and I wouldn’t want anything else as my last line of defense.
I love my MR920, running a Holosun 507c. It’s the perfect EDC 9mm for me and with 1000 rounds thru it’s been extremely reliable and a pleasure to shoot!
Shadow always says how reliable their 920 is. And I have to say they are not joking. This is an amazing firearm. The only thing that I don’t care for which it is that the trigger is to heavy for my liking.
I’ve carried a Glock since 2001 and now I carry an MR920E. Enough Said!!
Every detail about this gun screams excellence. You can tell they were very thoughtful and thorough in its design. From the grip texture to the removable magwell to the adjustable grip angle to the cuts on the slide and the fluting on the barrel, everything has a purpose and was put there with the customer in mind. This gun feels and handles awesome, and is so fast and flat shooting. It’s amazing.
Awesome Gun!! Hands down the best shooting gun that I have owned. Very flat shooting and light. I get compliments all of the time on how light the gun is. Oh and it looks badass as well.
I have never been a Glock fan there ugly bulky and uncomfortable but have really liked Springfield XD and XDM. The fit in my hand and accuracy is superb but with it NOT made in the USA and with the Springfield company wavering on the second amendment I’m done with them.. Now the war poet! When I first seen it I was impressed just the style and the quality and of course Mr Poet being a “great salesman” I had to try it! With the holoson I was not disappointed at all. By far the best pistol I have ever shot! Thanks shadow systems and John for this great pistol! And YES I will need a couple more dozen of them or so with ammo when I can. Lol thanks again
Is way better than a glock in my opinion , little trick to disassemble but nothing else !! And best of all is made in the United States !! By hard working people!! Never stop !!! Never follow!!!
The MR920 is literally everything you could ever want to do to customize a stock Glock 19, only more affordable, more reliable, and less hassle.
If you were to buy a stock g19 and have everything that the MR920 has done to it you would have spent about $300 more than you would buying the 920. Also, being that it’s a factory gun, it’s been thoroughly tested in the factory to ensure parts compatibility and overall reliability, unlike sending a Glock to 2 or 3 different companies for custom work and mix matching companies. Thirdly, the 920 is much less hassle, you don’t have to send it off for weeks at a time just to get it back and send it to the next place for another couple months.
The MR920 is a more affordable, more reliable, hassle free Glock 19 with every upgrade you can think of, right out of the box.
I am still pretty new to pistols, but I’ve had my MR920 Elite for 4 months now (~800 rounds). It is clearly superior to other pistols I have been able to handle with the help of friends and renting (all the usual suspects, big and small). I don’t have to say it, but I will; taking G mags and the like is a huge plus. Fit finish is superb! It’s a joy to shoot, with the aid of a 507C. My only gripe is the trigger. Again, not very experienced, but the nice defined wall it once had seems to be gone. Support said SS aims for a rolling break. I guess my inexperience shows here because I do not like it. Other than that, I cannot recommend SS highly enough!
BLUF: This is the most accurate, reliable and fattest shooting pistol I have ever owned. Zero issues not to mention it is a damn sexy pistol! Hooyah!!
This pistol is bar none the best made. It is the perfect pistol for your edc. I personally carry mine with a vortex viper sight and a surefire tlr7 light. Both fit perfectly on the weapon platform and don’t add any additional weight to the already super lightweight model. Having the option for a suppressor is a huge plus as well. This pistol is versatile and can be used by anybody, from the first time pistol owner to the elite, experienced shooter. I personally have put over two thousand rounds through it and have not had one malfunction. Anyone looking to get a leg up in the industry needs to use the Shadow Systems weapon platforms.
MR920 is an exceptionally well designed and built handgun from the ground up. It has many extra features shooters want. It is so good I purchased the DR920 as well and enjoy shooting them both
I have so far put 150 flawless rounds through my MR920. The pistol shoots flat and reliably. I would highly recommend this pistol to anyone.
Overall, I love my 920 elite. I think it’s a great design and the different backstraps making different grip angles is great. The innovation with the mounting system is another huge plus.
My only issue is the trigger. Overall it’s fine. I know it smooths up over time. But I really wish it would have been closer to my Canik elite combat. Both great firearms but the Canik stock trigger blows it away.
With all that said, my 920 is my absolute go to firearm and that won’t change.
Love my MR920 so much. Great customer service wish more companys were lioe Shadow Systems!
Best gun I’ve owned
Phenomenal pistol. About as flat shooting as you can get without adding a compensator or getting a bigger gun. Have had no malfunctions with mine and plan on getting the MR920L and The DR920 eventually! My one And only complaint is the trigger. It’s not a heavy trigger pull it’s just a little mushy without a very defined wall. Other than that it’s everything I want it to be
I have shot my MR 920 for almost a year and I have every bit of 3000 rounds plus into this firearm this is my every day and my go toRange gun I chose the MR 920 because Shadow Systems has had a reliable past and the customer service in this industry is top notch this firearm is hands-down the flattest shooting a gun on the market I have an Oz and I can tell you that that guy normally stays in my safe and I bring out the Shadow Systems every time the reliability to the customer service is a level that I don’t think any other company could ever catch up to if I ever had an issue or a problem Shadow Systems did not wait around for me to complain in the comments or throw a fit they responded quick and they handled whatever it was diligently and professionally this is a firearm that I put my wife into this is a firearm that I put my families life into I trust my life and my families life with this firearm and I have never Done that before I can see 20 years from now when my daughter is allowed to carry when she is old enough she will be caring something from Shadow Systems because this is what she will grow up intoThis is what she will protect her family with and her life with thank you Shadow Systems for making this such an affordable high and high-quality firearm that we could trust our life with.
This gun gives me the FIZZZZ!!! Best handgun I’ve ever owned.
I bought an MR920 with the hopes of a fun souped up range gun. I’ve put thousands of rounds through it and it performs flawlessly. I ended up trusting it more than my everyday carry. Now it’s my EDC and my souped up range toy. Can’t wait to get another one.
The perfect gun, flat shooting well balanced and lots of fun. Running the Holosun 507c optic!
Not a real Glock fan, but I did appreciate the functionality and ease of use. Once I learned of Shadow Systems and did more research on my own it quickly became a must have. Once I had my hands on it and ran it through the break in, I was totally vindicated in my purchase. Very light pistol, great trigger and all the attention to detail make this my favorite pistol I own.
My MR920 replaces three different single stack sub-compact pistols as my CCW for one simple reason: I consistently shoot it better than I do with all of my other pistols. It is the one that I have absolute confidence in. I carry it AIWB.
If your Glock 19 got a haircut, started hitting the gym and eating better, got 8 hrs of sleep regularly, and stopped drinking, you’d have the MR920 Elite.
I have owned and shot hundreds of handguns. This is by far my favorite one to shoot. It’s got the reliability of the big G and all the stuff that you would do to it, already done and for a lot less than it would cost to do it individually. This is a precision firearm and everything about it screams quality. Shadow Systems looked at the market and the market trends and decided to engineer a better product. Take the optic mounting for example. No other company had redesigned the slide to incorporate so many different optics and you don’t have to have your slide milled, so if you ever decide to change you can.
What else need be said. The name itself has stirred up the gun world in the last year or 2…I was on the fence about spending the money…finally pulled the trigger (no pun intended)…best firearm I’ve ever owned. Amazing recoil…amazing feel.. crazy light weight….this firearm was built with all of us aftermarket guys in mind. They paid attention to every detail. Finally a company that doesn’t cater to fuds..but to the common shooter. THANK YOU SO MUCH SHADOW SYSTEMS !!
Transitioned from revolvers to a Glock in 1993, a fine combat pistol. SS has refined the platform and created an amazing pistol. The evolution of the polymer framed striker fire that runs like a supercar but is as reliable as a Chevy.
I bought a MR 920 elite for concealed carry. Mounted an optic and loved it so much I bought a DR 920 to carry on duty
I’ve worked in law enforcement shooting shooting Glocks for work for over a decade now. I own various Glocks that I have used for everything from competition and concealed carry.
While I can appreciate the generational upgrades they have made… Shadow Systems leaves them in the dust. The improved ergonomics and overall quality of their firearms is undebatable.
It’s my go to gun for completion, home protection and concealed carry. I could not be happier with my purchase…. well maybe I could, if I purchased more of them…
I love this gun. It’s a great shooter and a great daily cary. It’s such a great gun that I bought a second one. I now have a full FDE and a War Poet. Now I basically have 4 guns!! Haha. Mix and match.
If a product isn’t good I don’t recommend it to others. Especially at this price point. I say all of this to explain why I recommend this gun to friends and why they’ve purchased them too. Great produ. Keep it up.
I’ve owned Glock 19, HK VP9, and Sig P320… value for what you pay for, the MR920 Elite has every one of these beat! It has factory ever modification I’d want to make on the others for less than what it would cost to modify them! Love it!
Shadow System Perfection performance right out of the box after 115 rounds everything smooth out and performed even better, get yourself a Shadow System shoot about 115 rounds you will see a difference.
I’ve owned this now for 6 months. It’s by far the best firearm I’ve ever shot. The accuracy and quality of build is unmatched. I can’t recommend this enough to anyone looking for something more than a stock pistol. Thank you Shadow Systems for building such a great product and offering it at such a reasonable price, well done!
I’ve been carrying my shadow almost a year now and I love it! Shoots very flat and the recoil is very manageable, I must say that my confidence has grown right along with my effective range. Price was exactly what I would expect from such a well made firearm, made right here in the good ole USA. I may not be one of those tactical guys and I don’t claim to know anything, but I’m loving mine and you should go get yours!
